At Rush, our nurses are among the best in the industry. Their outstanding care and services have earned Rush three consecutive ANCC Magnet® designations. Behind each of our great nurses stands a great leader. Our Nursing Leadership group is responsible for the development, mentoring and advancement of the nurses at Rush. Through our expertise and tenure, we motivate and lead our nurses to perform at a level that parallels the Rush standard of excellence. We also are charged with continually elevating the quality of patient care and enhancing the overall patient experience at Rush. Nursing Leadership has a culture that’s collaborative and transparent. We’re built on a foundation of shared governance, as Rush was one of the first hospitals to adopt such a model over 25 years ago. It empowers nurses to utilize clinical knowledge and expertise to improve day-to-day functions within their professional practice. It also offers networking and collaboration between units, departments, inpatient and outpatient settings, and educators. From Unit Directors and Clinical Nurse Specialists to Education Quality Coordinators and Clerical Managers, together our group continues to be an important influence on Rush’s success.
